You're hearing it first...
Beginning March 1st Dark Sparkle returns to the Cafe Du Nord to begin an exclusive residency. You've asked for it, we've wanted it and now it's a reality.
DARK SPARKLE IS BACK AT THE CAFE DU NORD!
But as with all things in life, you have to take the good with the bad.
After several years of being an integral part of the Dark Sparkle family, our own Michael Sparkle is spreading his wings and leaving the nest.
We're sure he'll be posting on his own to tell you all about it, but in a nutshell Michael is pursuing his dream of global entertainment domination in Los Angeles.
We'll miss him, but don't cry yet...
Michael will still be travelling back and forth between LA and the Bay Area and will continue to have a hand in Dark Sparkle business.
There's lots more to say about all we have coming up in the next few months, but we thought you'd like to hear the news.
We look forward to seeing you March 1st!

  • It's true, I will not be here to "host" the events over the summer of 2006.
I will be back soon though. Most likely in November.

IF you must know, I'm studying music business, specifically the recording industry and management in Hollywood. Dark Sparkle Records anyone?

I am continuing to coordinate and direct the promotion and publicity monster I have created for DNA Lounge and Dark Sparkle. IF anyone is interested to help promote dark sparkle via flyer distribution, please contact me off thread.
    • Good news, good news. I'm excited about DS back at Du Nord. Best of luck, Mr. Sparkle, in the music business studies. I just finished up my own work on a Recording Arts certificate, and am working on a Commercial Music one now. I love the industry, and it needs fresh ideas, new thinking. LA is of course the place to do your studies! DS records sounds great.

Wow, great news. Although I was bummed to have to miss DS at the Purple Onion the other night. I was looking forward to it. For anyone that went, how was it? I like DS at CdN, so I'm looking forward to the big return. Unfortunately I won't be able to make it on March 1st, since I will once again be overseas thousands of miles away the night DS is happening. If I didn't know better, I'd swear that the events are being planned so I can't go.... I didn't think I was that smelly or unattractive.... In order to increase our chances of making it to DS, will they be bi-weekly again? Or still once a month?

Good luck in La-La, Michael. I don't know anyone in the music biz there, otherwise I'd try to hook you up. I do know someone who would know people there, though, so I'll try to get at least some names for you. When you start doing porn (everyone I know who has moved to LA either comes back rather quickly or disappears and I never hear from them again, which makes me think that they started doing porn), make sure to go to a reputable surgeon for your big fake boobjob.
    • The plan is for us to be bi-weekly again starting in April (I think), but we need to make it worth the venue's while right? We'll bring the music and our own charming selves, but all of you coming out and having fun is what brings the party.
We need YOU to make this happen and keep it going strong!
We fought for this...the staff at the Du Nord fought for this...let's enjoy it now that it's finally a reality again!
      We can't wait...
